Greetings Alumni and Friends!

Another exciting year of Bulldog Wrestling is here. The Truman State University Wrestling Takedown Club is looking for your support. Your participation in the Takedown Club will help provide much needed scholarship support for our athletes. Due to budget limitations, our program must generate our scholarship support privately. You have the opportunity to directly support our wrestlers through your participation in the Takedown Club!

Our wrestling program is on the rise and has a great deal of potential in the coming seasons. Last year, the best four records belonged to freshmen and sophomores. As a true freshman Ryan Maus qualified to Nationals and was one win away from being an All-American at 141 pounds last season. Despite fielding a young team at duals, we still battled hard and end the season with a 4-3 dual record.

After getting a glimpse of our potential last year, we have set our goals even higher for the coming season. Our schedule this year includes duals against D-I programs such as Missouri, Purdue, Eastern Michigan, NAIA powerhouse Missouri Valley, and a trip to NWCA D-II National Duals on January 7 & 8, 2012, in Springfield, Ill.

This schedule is tough, but the Truman Bulldog Wrestling Program’s desire to keep improving and reach our full potential is just as ambitious. With your financial support we are confident in our ability to succeed.
