Guy Burton is the owner and president of Sun and Swim Pools in Grandview, Mo. He graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor of science in education in 1953 and received a master's in city school administration from the University in 1955.

While attending Truman, he was a member of the track and football teams and lettered four years as fullback. Guy taught physical education and coached in Butler, Mo., and served as vice principal at schools in the Kansas City area. He was appointed to the Foundation Board in 2005.

Guy and his wife, Elizabeth, were honored as Truman's 2006 Alumni of the Year. They reside in Leawood, Kan. They have two sons, Michael and Scott, and two daughters, Michelle and Brenda.
