Kara (Tuck) Geisert received a bachelor of science in biology from Truman State University in 1993. A former biology teacher, Kara is a co-owner of My Scrapbook Room, located in Liberty, Mo.

Kara, along with her husband, Chris, was named as Truman's 2001 Young Alumna of the Year, and both Kara and Chris served on the Magruder Hall Campaign Committee which helped raise funds for the expansion and renovation of the University's science facility.

Kara resides in Liberty, Mo., and has two sons. She was appointed to the Foundation Board in 2005.
