Susan Plassmeyer is the executive director of administration for Alumni and Development Programs at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Previously, she served as the executive vice president of construction, engineering and facilities maintenance for Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), and prior to her work at the CTA, Plassmeyer held positions in planning, budget and human resources at the University of Chicago. She also served as the chief administrative and financial officer for the Environmental Law and Policy Center, an environmental and economic policy non-profit serving six Midwestern states.

She began her career at The First National Bank of Chicago as a First Scholar and later worked with economic development and housing groups as an assistant vice president of Corporate and Community Affairs.

She received her undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 1986 and earned a master of business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Chicago.
