Calvin Roebuck

Calvin Roebuck, of Columbia, Mo., received a bachelor of science degree from Truman in 1957. He began his career with Prudential then joined State Farm Insurance as an agent in Kirksville. In 1964, he was promoted to agency manager in St. Louis, Mo., and seven years later, became the agency director in Newark, Ohio. He then served as the deputy regional vice president in the Missouri-Kansas regional office in Columbia, Mo., and in 1985, was promoted to vice president of the Ohio region.

Roebuck retired from State Farm Insurance in 2000, after almost 40 years of outstanding service. He is involved in numerous civic, church and community affairs and was awarded the Licking Memorial Hospital Development Council's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Roebuck is a member of Truman's Joseph Baldwin Society and the President's Circle, and he served on the university's Magruder Hall Campaign Committee. In 2003, he was honored as Truman's Alumnus of the Year.

He and his wife, Lydia Ann (Evans) Roebuck, have a son, James.
