Scholarship Naming Opportunities
Should you decide to create a named scholarship fund, you have many choices. You can choose the assets to donate, the guidelines used to select the recipients, the scholarship name, and much more. Scholarship funds can be created with an outright gift or with gifts pledged over a number of years. They can also be created with a planned or estate gift. A gift in the form of cash or securities allows a donor to receive immediate tax benefits in the year the gift is made. In the case of appreciated securities, capital gains taxes may also be avoided.
